Ms. Mizonova Maria Georgievna, the newly-accredited Russian Consul General in Da Nang, on Wednesday, paid courtesy visits to some of the city leaders.

Congratulating the Russian guest on her new position, municipal Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang affirmed that Da Nang, and Viet Nam as a whole, always preserved and constantly cultivated the Viet Nam - Russia comprehensive strategic partnership.

He informed that Da Nang has established twinning relations with 3 localities of Russia and has attracted four Russian-invested FDI projects totalling nearly US$6.1 million. However, the cooperation and investment results have been not commensurate with the potential and advantages of the two sides.

Secretary Quang hoped that Ms. Mizonova Maria Georgievna would do her utmost to promote cooperation ties between Da Nang and localities and partners of Russia in the near future.

During his reception on Wednesday for the Russian diplomat, municipal Party Committee Deputy Secretary cum People's Council Chairman Luong Nguyen Minh Triet expressed his desire that she would call for more investors from her country to invest into Da Nang in such potential aspects as economy, tourism and education.

When meeting with Ms. Mizonova Maria Georgievna, municipal People's Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh hoped that she and staff of the Consulate General of Russia in Da Nang would cooperate closely with the city to foster the bilateral comprehensive cooperation ties in potential areas and strengths, as well as promote the beautiful images of the country and people of Viet Nam to Russian citizens and bring more delegations of Russian tourists to Da Nang in the coming time.

At his reception for the Russian diplomat, Chairman of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee in Da Nang Ngo Xuan Thang expressed his wish that Ms. Mizonova Maria Georgievna would promote the achieved results and implement many practical activities, including cultural and people-to-people exchange activities, in order to facilitate the people of Da Nang and Russia to learn about the country, people and culture of each other.

During her meetings with the city leaders, newly-accredited Russian Consul General in Da Nang Mizonova Maria Georgievna revealed that 2022 marked the 10^th anniversary of the establishment of Viet Nam-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership. Therefore, her unit plans to promote economic cooperation and investment activities between Da Nang and Russian enterprises in the time to come.
