Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang, on Thursday, checked the preparatory works for the upcoming scientific conference entitled ‘Victory of Don Nhat - Hai Van Gate’ (September 25, 1952 -2022): Historical imprints, experience in building the people’s war posture’.

During his inspection visit, Secretary Quang urged relevant agencies to perfect the stage layout, carefully prepare for sound and lighting systems, and arrange airy and reasonable seats. The focus should be on carefully welcoming and introducing the delegates, and ensuring security, order and traffic safety during the event.

The scientific conference will officially take place tomorrow morning. Co-organised by the municipal Party Committee, the Institute of Military History under the Ministry of Defence, and the city-based Military Region 5, the event will see the participation of leaders of the Party, State, central ministries, Military Region 5, plus some military experts and scientists nationwide.

The intention of the conference is to clarify and deepen the theoretical and practical issues raised from the victory of Don Nhat - Hai Van Gate, thereby applying them to the building of the all-people national defence posture, and educating the tradition of revolutionary struggle and fostering patriotism and national pride among cadres, soldiers and residents, especially young generations.
