The Da Nang Youth Union (YU), on Sunday, officially opened the 19^th Ho Chi Minh City Communist Youth Union Congress in the 2022-2027 term, attracting the participation of 300 outstanding YU members across the city.

Themed ‘Unity - Pioneering - Aspiration - Creation – Development’, the congress lasts until the late of October 10.

In the 2022-2027 term, the municipal YU will focus on building a generation of youths who have revolutionary ideals, morality, patriotism, and love for the socialist regime; as well as have the will to be self-reliant, and aspire to develop a prosperous and happy country.

Importance will be attached to giving active support to disadvantaged groups of young people who lack opportunities to develop; and building and developing the YU organisations in terms of ideology, politics, organisation and action in order to truly become a reliable reserve team of the Party.

Heed will be paid to promoting the spirit of dedication, enthusiasm and volunteering; and raising the responsibility of young people in the cause of building and protecting Da Nang and the country.

Within the framework of the ongoing congress, a virtual reality exhibition entitled ‘Youth aspirations’ is taking place in the city. The exhibition features some outstanding images of the city's YU in the last term.

In addition, the organisers built QR codes for congress attendees, and used the ‘Automatic vote counting’ software to support counting the number of votes to ensure the absolute accuracy and transparency.

On this occasion, the municipal YU organised an exhibition displaying nearly 20 innovative startup products made by local young people. These products are concentrated on promoting the use of science and technology to solve problems in life and start a business.
