Da Nang Party Committee Deputy Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet had a working session on Friday morning with a group of visitors from Hai Phong City’s Party Committee, led by his counterpart Do Manh Hien.

Deputy Secretary Triet briefed his guests on the city’s remarkable achievements after more than one year of the pilot implementation of the urban government model.

In particular, the urban government model actively contributes to accelerating the city's administrative reform, improving local investment environment, enhancing the city's competitiveness, attracting more domestic and foreign investment flows, effectively using investment capital, and creating favourable conditions for businesses to operate in the city.

Mr. Triet, however, pointed out some shortcomings in the implementation of the model because this is the first time the city has piloted the model.

The meeting in progress

For his part, Deputy Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee Do Manh Hien expressed his deep impression with Da Nang's remarkable achivements, and thanked Mr. Triet for sharing the city’s good experience and practices, in the pilot implementation of the urban government model.

He took the opportunity to ask for support from Da Nang to contribute ideas for the development of the pilot urban government project of Hai Phong.

On this occasion, the delegation of Hai Phong Party Committee expressed their sympathy over the city’s damage caused by recent natural disasters and donated VND2 billion to the city to support local residents affected by natural disasters.
