Da Nang, France strengthen education ties

During her reception on Wednesday for French Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Emmanuelle Pavillon-Grosser, Da Nang People's Committee Vice Chairwoman Ngo Thi Kim Yen asked for help from the French visitor to promote cooperation activities between Da Nang and France in many spheres, especially in education.

Mrs. Yen said Da Nang has paid special attention to teaching French at primary to university-level educational establishments in Da Nang. The city will continue to make more efforts to future promote the teaching and learning of French language in the coming time.

At the same time, the city will support the granting of visas for French teachers to teach in Da Nang more conveniently, Vice Chairwoman Yen said.

For her part, the French diplomat expressed her good impressions on Da Nang’s rapid growth over recent years.

On the basis of the good cooperation relationship between Da Nang and France over the past time, the French Government expects to deploy more French teaching programmes in schools in the city next year.

Ms. Emmanuelle Pavillon-Grosser hoped that the economic cooperation and cultural exchanges between Da Nang and French localities will be further fostered in the coming time.
