NA Vice Chairman sends Tet wishes to Da Nang leaders and Military Zone 5 High Command
National Assembly (NA) Vice Chairman Tran Quang Phuong, on Tuesday morning, visited and extended Lunar New Year greetings to Party and government of Da Nang, and the Military Zone 5 High Command.

During his meeting with the Da Nang leaders, Vice Chairman Tran Quang Phuong highly lauded the city’s remarkable socio-economic development results over the past year.
He hoped that in the coming time, Da Nang would continue to uphold the spirit of solidarity and consensus to uphold its achieved results and affirm its position of being an economic hub in Central Viet Nam and Central Highlands.

Mr. Phuong also suggested the NA deputies' delegation of Da Nang continue to promote the sense of responsibility to raise enthusiastic and quality opinions at NA sessions, thereby making important contributions to the development of the country.
On behalf of the Party Committee, government and people of the city, municipal Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang thanked the Party, State and Vice Chairman Phuong for their special care for Da Nang. He expressed his wish that the Central Government would continue to create the best favourable conditions for Da Nang to develop in the coming time.

While meeting with the Military Zone 5 High Command, NA Vice Chairman Phuong highly praised the armed forces of Military Zone 5 for their outstanding achievements in 2022.
He took the opportunity to ask the Party Committee and commanders of Military Zone 5 at all levels to thoroughly grasp Party and State guidelines and policies on national defence and security, as well as build a strong army to meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
Special attention should be paid to building and strengthening all-people national defence in close coordination with all-people security posture in order to maintain combat readiness in all situations, and ensuring a joyful, warm and economical Tet for military officers and men.

For his part, Major General Le Ngoc Hai, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of Military Zone 5 affirmed that during the past year, his unit focused on grasping the resolutions and directives of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defence and the Party Committee of the Military Zone 5 to the entire military zone, holding live-fire drills to test defence capabilities, and promoting defence diplomacy.
