A high-ranking delegation of Savannakhet Province, Laos, led by its Deputy Governor Lingthong Sengtavanh, visited and offered Lunar New Year greetings to leaders and people of Da Nang on Monday.

Deputy Governor Lingthong Sengtavanh wished leaders and people of Da Nang a Lunar New Year of good health and happiness. He also expressed his delight at the city’s remarkable achievements in 2022, believing the locality will continue to grow strongly next year.

The Lao guest also took the opportunity to thank Da Nang for providing active support for his province, especially in human resource training and COVID-19 prevention and control work.

On behalf of the city's leaders, Da Nang People's Committee Vice Chairwoman Ngo Thi Kim Yen affirmed that Da Nang always appreciated cooperation relationships with Savannakhet Province over the past time.

She added, in 2023, Da Nang and Savannakhet Province will implement cooperative activities under the Memorandum of Understanding for the 2023-2027 period signed by leaders of the two sides in July 2022, thereby contributing to cultivating the great friendship and special solidarity between Viet Nam and Laos.
