Chairman Chinh hoped that the South Korean diplomat will act as a bridge to introduce Da Nang to investors in her country. Da Nang wishes to cooperate with South Korean businesses in aspects of information technology, high-tech, innovative start-ups, seaports, and especially tourism.

“On the city side, we are committed to giving the best support and creating very favourable conditions for South Korean investors to visit and seek investment opportunities in the city" he emphasised.

In reply, Ambassador Oh Young Ju expressed her gratitude for the city leader’s respectful welcome. Ms. Oh Young Ju said that in addition to the tourism sector, information technology is also a potential field for the two sides to cooperate.

Recently, Ms. Oh Young Ju paid a visit to the Viet Nam - Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU).

During the visit, she was very impressed with the university's outstanding achievements. She expressed her hope that VKU will continue to develop information technology-related training programmes in order to meet the human resource needs of the two sides.

Besides, the guest revealed that the South Korean Embassy in Viet Nam is working closely with the Korea International Cooperation Agency - KOICA to learn about activities of South Korean enterprises in Vietnam, thereby providing more information about Da Nang’s investment climate to South Korean businesses.

Ambassador Oh Young Ju wanted the city to iron out difficulties facing South Korean businesses, as well as consider granting visa procedures for South Korean tourists.

Chairman Chinh agreed with the abovementioned suggestions made by the guest, affirming that the city will provide maximum support to solve the difficulties facing South Korean enterprises operating in the city.
