During his reception on Friday for his counterpart from Savannakhet Province, Laos, Mr. Bounchom Ubonpaseuth, Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang wished the government and people of the Laotian province a peaceful and successful new year on the occasion of the traditional Bunpimay New Year festival 2023.

Secretary Quang expressed his delight at the increasingly close and effective collaboration between Da Nang and Savannakhet over recent years.

He added, in the coming time, the two localities will effectively implement contents signed in the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation for the 2023-2027 period, especially cooperation programmes in Vietnamese language teaching, trade and tourism. He hoped that the bilateral cooperation ties will be further deepened in the years ahead.

For his part, Governor of Savannakhet Province Bounchom Ubonpaseuth thanked the Party, government and people of Da Nang for their warm and respectful welcome to the high-ranking delegation of his province.

He shared that at present, Savannakhet Province has been focusing on developing the eco-tourism industry. He, therefore, took the opportunity to call on Da Nang's businesses to visit and seek investment opportunities in Savannakhet Province, thereby promoting economic development and strengthening the friendly cooperation relationship between Laos and Viet Nam in general, and between Savannakhet and Da Nang in particular.
