A delegation of Da Nang’s Hai Chau District, led by the district People’s Committee Chairman Le Tu Gia Thanh, is making a business trip to South Korea’s Uiwang City from May 3 - 7. The trip is made at the invitation of the Mayor of Uiwang City, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea.

On Wednesday afternoon, the delegation worked with Mr. Kim Sung Jei, the Mayor of Uiwang City.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged information on the socio-economic development situation of the two localities, as well as signed a cultural exchange programme for junior high school pupils.

Accordingly, Hai Chau District will send a delegation of junior high school pupils to visit and exchange culture in Uiwang City in October 2023. Also on the same day, the delegation paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Kim Hark Gi, the Chairman of the Uiwang City People's Council.

Over the past two years, Hai Chau District and Uiwang City have actively implemented exchange and support activities in the COVID-19 prevention and control.

In 2022, Hai Chau District received a delegation of Uiwang City government on the occasion of the 30^th founding anniversary of the Viet Nam - South Korea diplomatic relations. The two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding on education and economy cooperation.
