The Japanese diplomat remarked that 2023 marked the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Viet Nam-Japan diplomatic ties (September 21, 1973 - 2023). Therefore, an array of cultural and sports activities will be organised across Da Nang.

Notably, many universities with Japanese language faculties citywide plan to organise many activities in celebration of the 50th founding anniversary of Viet Nam - Japan diplomatic relations, he added.

Consul General Yakabe Yoshinori showed keen interest in mutual cooperation with the Da Nang Newspaper to promote the publicity of a series of cultural events and festivals in celebration of the forthcoming important diplomatic event.

“Hopefully, the Da Nang Newspaper will cooperate to publicise activities to celebrate this important event, thereby contributing to deepening the relationships between Da Nang and Japanese localities, and Japan and Viet Nam as a whole." Mr. Yakabe Yoshinori said.

Mr. Hai expressed his hope that the Consulate General of Japan in Da Nang would establish an information channel with the Da Nang Newspaper to enhance information dissemination about the culture, country and people of Japan and the cooperative opportunities, hereby contributing to deepening the relationships between the two countries.
