Indian navy ships anchor at Da Nang port
Two Indian navy ships, guided-missile destroyer INS DELHI and multi-purpose stealth destroyer INS SATPURA, arrived at Da Nang’s Tien Sa Port on Friday, beginning their four-day visit to the city.

The delegation of Indian navy soldiers was led by Rear Admiral Gurcharan Singh, Command of Eastern Fleet.
In attendance at the welcome ceremony for the Japanese guests were representatives of the municipal Department of Foreign Affairs, the Military Zone 5 High Command, the Naval Zone 3 High Command, the local Border Guard Command, and relevant agencies.

During their stay in Da Nang, Indian naval officers and crew members are scheduled to pay courtesy visits to leaders of the municipal People’s Committee, the High Command of Military Zone 5 and the High Command of Naval Region 3 as well as visit relic and beautiful sites in Da Nang. Also, they will take part in cultural and sports exchange activities with local navy soldiers.
The visit aimed to strengthen the friendly cooperation, mutual understanding and trust between Vietnamese and Indian navy forces, contributing to fostering the traditional friendship between Viet Nam and India.
“The visit is a testament to the strong friendship between two countries and reflects the importance we attach to our relationship with Viet Nam. During this visit, we want to experience the rich culture of Viet Nam and conduct professional interactions with our Vietnamese partners to boost mutual understanding between the two navy forces. We also look forward to conducting a search and rescue drill with Vietnamese navy ships at sea,” Rear Admiral Gurcharan Singh emphasised.
