Da Nang People’s Council Chairman Luong Nguyen Minh Triet visited and congratulated the municipal Department of Public Security on the occasion of the 78^th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People's Public Security Forces (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2023).

Mr Triet highly lauded the municipal Department of Public Security for its great efforts in well fulfilling assigned tasks over the past time.

He also affirmed that the city's public security forces have always ensured political security, social order and safety, creating a foundation for the city to confidently do fulfil its socio-economic development tasks.

“Over recent years, the municipal Public Security Department has always achieved outstanding achievements in various fields of work. In particular, the rate of criminal case discovery is getting higher (over 85%), exceeding the targets set by the resolution and by the Ministry of Public Security. Traffic order and safety decrease on all 3 criteria. In addition, the Party Committee of the city’s Public Security promptly advised the municipal Party Committee and the People's Committee on solutions to ensure security, order, and social safety in the city”, Mr. Triet emphasised.

He also expressed his hope that the city's public security sector will continue promoting the heroic tradition and building a regular, elite, modern force in order to successfully complete assigned tasks in all situations.

He also asked the municipal Department of Public Security to have more creative and breakthrough solutions in order to maintain political security, social order and safety in the city.

In reply, Major General Vu Xuan Vien, Director of the municipal Department of Public Security, thanked the city leaders and people from all walks of life for their special care for the city's police forces.

He also promised to continue to promote the good tradition of the People's Public Security force to successfully complete all assigned tasks, hereby contributing to building a modern and peaceful Da Nang, and a reliable destination for domestic and foreign businesses and tourists.
