Da Nang People’s Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh made the statement when receiving Governor of Japan's Nagasaki prefecture Oishi Kengo in the city on Wednesday.

During the working session, Chairman Chinh highly appreciated the results achieved by Japanese businesses operating in Da Nang.

He also asked for a helping hand from Governor Oishi Kengo to introduce potential businesses and investors from Nagasaki to explore investment opportunities in Da Nang in the fields of tourism services, information technology, high-tech industry, innovative start-ups, and seaports.

For his part, Nagasaki Governor Oishi Kengo said that the visit aimed to mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Viet Nam - Japan diplomatic ties (1973-2023). Da Nang is rated as one of the safe, friendly, green - clean - beautiful tourist destinations, leaving many impressions for international tourists. These are also similarities with Nagasaki Prefecture. Therefore, the two localities need to create closer linkage for development cooperation.

Currently, nursing is one of the fields that Japan is in dire need of young human resources. Nagasaki Prefecture has a very close cooperation relationship with the Da Nang-based Dong A University and the Phuong Dong Junior College in training and exchanging interns in nursing.

The Japanese guest suggested Da Nang continue to support and cooperate with Nagasaki Prefecture in the field of human resource exchange. He pledged that Nagasaki Prefecture will provide maximum support for interns to study and work in the locality.
