Swiss company seeks investment opportunities in Da Nang

Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh hosted a reception on Thursday for a group of visitors from the Switzerland-based Greenlina SA Company, led by its CEO Jean Christopher Song.

At the meeting, Vice Chairman Minh briefed the guests on the city’s socio-economic situation as well as introduced them to aspects appealing for investment.

According to the working programme, this afternoon, the Management Board of the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park had a meeting with the delegation to discuss contents that were proposed by the company.

Mr. Minh expressed his wish that Mr. Jean Christopher Song will provide specific information on the waste treatment technology of the plant that the company intends to invest in Da Nang as well as other issues.

He informed that the city has assigned the Management Board of the city’s High-Tech Park and local specialised units to appraise the technology.

He asked for support from the company to call on the business community and Swiss businesses to visit and learn about Da Nang’s investment climate.

In reply, Mr. Jean Christopher Song thanked Vice Chairman Minh for his warm welcome. He said that the purpose of the visit was to carry out a project on building a factory similar to that was built in Switzerland to assemble machinery that the company has used in sorting and treating organic waste.

"During this time, we will also prepare a more specific project and send it to the municipal authorities for consideration. The purpose of the construction of the factory is to collect all plastic waste for recycling" Mr. Jean Christopher Song said.

Established in 2017, the Greenlina SA Company focuses on the fields of development, research, production and distribution of pyrolysis plants and oil refineries with advanced technology.

During their business trip to Switzerland in May 2023, the city's delegation, led by Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh, had a meeting with Mr. Jean Christopher Song to learn about areas of mutual interest.
