Da Nang, Czech Republic enhance environmental cooperation
During his reception on Monday in the city for Minister of the Environment of the Czech Republic Petr Hladík, Da Nang People's Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh expressed his wish to boost multi-faceted cooperation with Czech localities in such spheres as information technology, high-tech industry, innovative startups, especially environment.

Da Nang is currently implementing the project on turning itself into an environmentally friendly city with many important results, contributing to the general development of the city, Chairman Chinh revealed.
In the coming time, the city will focus on implementing the goal of building and developing circular economy, green economy, and low-carbon models, as well as striving to achieve sustainable development targets by 2030, he added.
Mr. Chinh took the opportunity to ask for a helping hand from Minister Petr Hladik to introduce Da Nang to Czech investors, and invite them to visit the city to learn about cooperation and investment opportunities in the environmental field, and others.
"We are committed to fully supporting and creating the best possible conditions for foreign investors and businesses, including those from Czech Republic, to invest in the city" the city leader emphasised.
Expressing his impression of Da Nang's modern infrastructure and dynamic development, Minister Petr Hladík expressed his desire to cooperate with Da Nang in fields which are the strengths of his country like information technology, recycled energy, plastic and urban waste treatment, and other potential aspects.
The guest hoped that the visit will open up many opportunities for cooperation between the Czech Republic and Viet Nam in general, between localities and businesses of the Czech Republic and Da Nang in particular, hereby contributing to deepening their bilateral relationships in the coming time.
