Within the framework of their business trip to China, on September 5, the delegation of Da Nang, led by Party Committee Deputy Secretary cum People's Council Chairman Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, visited and worked with the People's Council of Shandong Province, China.

Deputy Secretary Triet thanked the leader of Shandong Province for the respectful welcome, and informed about his city’s socio-economic achievements in recent years and its development orientations in the coming time.

The city leader remarked that Da Nang and Shandong Province have established cooperative relations since 1996. The two sides have regularly organised exchange activities to strengthen their bilateral cooperation ties in such aspects as politics, investment, trade, tourism, culture and sports.

Notably, economic and agricultural cooperation workshops, trade promotion seminars, and investment - trade - tourism promotion conferences between Da Nang and Shandong Province have been organised.

In that spirit, the two localities exchanged and highly appreciated the bilateral cooperation results over the past time.

On the same day, the Da Nang delegation visited and worked with the Institute of Agricultural Sciences of Shandong Province to learn, research and exchange experience in hi-tech agricultural production and conduct field surveys in some agricultural areas in Shandong province, one of the largest agricultural research, training and production bases in China.
