Viet Nam and Thailand Friendship Associations promote cooperation and friendship
The 12th joint meeting between the Executive Committees of the Viet Nam-Thailand and Thailand-Viet Nam Friendship Associations took place in Da Nang on Monday.

The meeting was part of a series of events that the Thailand-Viet Nam Friendship Association and the Viet Nam-Thailand Friendship Association are carrying out in 2023 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the establishment of a strategic partnership (2013- 2023) between the two countries.
Speaking at the opening ceremony at the meeting, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council cum Chairman of the Central Committee of the Viet Nam-Thailand Friendship Association, said that the Viet Nam-Thailand Friendship Association and the Thailand-Viet Nam Association has gone through 12 joint meetings. They have reaped certain successes, and their cooperative relationship has increasingly grown, thereby contributing to consolidating and strengthening the enhanced strategic partnership between the two countries.
This joint meeting provided the good opportunity for both sides to evaluate the results achieved in a year, as well as discuss and agree tasks for the last months of 2023 and 2024.
Mr. Sanan Angubolkul, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Trade Council of Thailand cum Chairman of the Thailand-Viet Nam Friendship Association, voiced his belief that with the right decisions, the two associations will develop a cooperative relationship in various fields such as politics, education, social issues, and especially entrepreneurship.

For his part, Da Nang People's Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh informed that Da Nang has till date attracted 13 valid Thai-invested projects with a total investment capital of about US$60 million. Da Nang has signed memoranda of understanding with a number of Thai provinces and cities including Khonkaen, Mukdahan, Nakhon Phanom, Phuket and Chiang Mai.
Friendship and people-to-people exchange activities in the city in recent years have also contributed to tightening the friendship between the people of Da Nang and Thai localities.
“The meeting is an opportunity for Da Nang to promote the image of a friendly, hospitable city with great potential for cooperation and investment to Thai people. The municipal authorities are committed to supporting and creating maximum conditions for Thai investors in particular and international investors in general to do business effectively in Da Nang" Mr. Ho Ky Minh said.
