Strength of entire people mobilised to firmly protect national sovereignty and border security
Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Le Trung Chinh chaired a meeting on Wednesday to review the implementation of the ‘All People's Border Guard Day’ in Da Nang for the 2019-2024 period.

In his remarks at the event, the city leader highly praised the outstanding results and achievements during the implementation of the ‘All People's Border Guard Day’ movement in the city.
He also affirmed that the management and protection of territorial sovereignty and national border security were an important and regular task of the entire Party, the army, and people of the city.
He added the implementation of the ‘All People's Border Guard Day’ significantly contributed to educating officials, civil servants, public employees and local people about the national territorial sovereignty and boundaries, especially regulations related to the management and protection of sovereignty and border security over the country's islands and waters.

Chairman Chinh took the opportunity to request party committees, authorities, associations, unions, agencies and units at all levels to continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the contents of the ‘All People's Border Guard Day’ associated with the implementation of Directive 15 on strengthening direction for socio-economic construction and development, and national defence and security in border wards and communes, and islands.
Importance should be attached to promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc, as well as building an all-people border defence posture associated with the people's security, and a strong people's security posture, hereby contributing to ensuring political security, social order and safety in the city.
During the event, an individual was awarded the Second-Class Fatherland Defence Medal, and three others received the Third-Class Fatherland Defence Medals from the State President.
The Border Guard Command, Chairman of the People's Committee, and Chairman of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of the city presented Certificates of Merit to 74 collectives and individuals in recognition of their outstanding achievements in organising the implementation of the ‘All People's Border Guard Day’ during the 2019-2024 period.
