Da Nang's officials pay visit to Attapeu Province, Laos

A group of Da Nang’s officials, led by municipal People’s Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh, on Thursday morning visited and sent the best New Year greetings to the Party Committee, government and people of Attapeu Province in Laos on the occasion of the Lao traditional New Year festival Bunpimay.

Chairman Chinh expressed his delight at the special traditional friendship between Viet Nam and Laos, and at the friendly relationship and effective cooperation between Da Nang and Attapeu.

The city leader revealed that, in 2024, Da Nang will continue to grant 30 scholarships to provincial officials and students to study at the University of Da Nang at all levels for the 2024 - 2025 school year, and send 2 teachers to work at the Vietnamese Language Centre in the province.

Also, the city will receive a delegation of 10 officials from the Department of Information - Culture and Tourism of Attapeu Province, as well as offer funding to upgrade the radio and television studio of Attapeu Province.

On the occasion, Da Nang donated Attapeu Province VND500 million to support disadvantaged people to celebrate a warm and peaceful Tet.

When visiting the Vietnamese Association of Attapeu Province, Chairman Chinh acknowledged and praised the role of the association in promoting the spirit of solidarity and mutual love of the Vietnamese people community.

The Da Nang delegation presented VND50 million to support the Association's activities.
