Da Nang expands cooperation with Germany in many fields
Mr. Le Trung Chinh, Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee cum Chairman of the municipal People's Committee, led a delegation to pay a working trip to Germany from May 20 - 22.

During the meeting with the Frankfurt Investment and Trade Promotion Agency, the Da Nang delegation proposed specific solutions to promote cooperation between the two sides in the field of investment and trade promotion, especially in information technology (IT) and innovation.
Mr. Siegle, Deputy Director of the Frankfurt Business Cooperation and Investment Promotion Agency, highly appreciated the socio-economic development achievements of Da Nang and Viet Nam as a whole in recent times.

He also pledged to call on German businesses involved in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI), information technology, data centers and financial technology to seek investment opportunities in Da Nang, as well as invite Da Nang businesses to participate in investment and trade promotion events in Frankfurt in face-to-face and online forms.
As part of their working trip to Germany, the Da Nang delegation visited and worked with the Consulate General of Viet Nam in Frankfurt. They discussed with Consul General Luu Xuan Dong about the city’s plan to expand cooperation with German organisations and businesses to support the city’s socio-economic development.

Also, the Da Nang visitors were welcomed by Minister-President of Thüringen state of Germany Bodo Ramelow and were taken to visit some of local businesses such as Meininger, Hehnke and the Marienstift Arnstadt Hospital.
At the same time, the Da Nang delegation had a working session with the Economic Development Office of Thüringen State. The two sides agreed to organise promotional activities for local businesses in the fields of hi-tech, microchips, and semiconductors to survey and research investment opportunities in Da Nang in the near future.

Within the framework of the working trip, Da Nang and Thüringen State signed a Memorandum of Understanding on friendship and strategic cooperation in such spheres as human resource development, investment, trade, science and innovation, and cultural exchange.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by Vietnamese Ambassador to Germany Vu Quang Minh, and Minister of Labor, Social Affairs, Health, Women, and Family of Thüringen State Heike Werner.
