Da Nang leader receives new Japanese Consul General

Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee Le Trung Chinh gave a reception on Wednesday for Mr.Mori Takero, newly-accredited Consul General of Japan in the city.

Chairman Chinh wished the new Consul General Mori Takero a successful term of office in the city. He hoped that the Japanese diplomat will continue to act as a bridge to promote friendship relations and cooperation between Da Nang and Japanese localities, as well as call on many Japanese partners to invest in the city in such spheres as hi-tech, semiconductors, tourism, seaports, and high-quality human resource exchange.

The city leader also pledged that the city will actively coordinate and support the the Consulate General of Japan to operate effectively. At the same time, he expressed his wish that the cooperative relationship between Da Nang and Japanese localities and enterprises will be further deepened and developed.

For his part, Mr. Mori Takero thanked the city leader for his sincerity and special care for the activities of the Consulate General of Japan in Da Nang over recent years.

The Japanese guest promised to do his utmost to foster the exchange, investment and trade cooperation with Da Nang in particular and localities in Central Viet Nam in general, thereby contributing positively to the fine development of the Viet Nam - Japan relationships in the coming time.

He also pledged to accompany, support and coordinate with the city to successfully organise the Viet Nam - Japan cultural exchange festival slated to take place in the city from July 4 - July 7.
