Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang had a meeting on Monday with Secretary of the Party Committee and Governor of Sekong Province of Laos Leklay Sivilay as part of his working trip to Da Nang.

Secretary Quang emphasised that the Party, State and people of Viet Nam in general, and Da Nang in particular, always valued and nurtured the special traditional friendship between Viet Nam and Laos, and between Da Nang and Sekong Province.

He pledged that Da Nang will continue to coordinate with Sekong Province to effectively implement cooperation programmes under the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two localities during the 2023-2027 period.

For his part, Secretary Leklai Sivilay thanked the city leaders for the respectful welcome to the Lao delegation.

At the same time, he highly lauded the great help and support that the Party Committee, government and people of Da Nang has given to Sekong Province, especially infrastructure construction and human resource training.

The Lao official Leklai Sivilay affirmed that the provincial leaders will well implement the cooperation programmes between the two localities in the 2023-2027 period, as well as continue to tighten the special friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Viet Nam and Laos, and Da Nang and Sekong Province in the years ahead.
