Head of the Da Nang Party Committee's Publicity and Training Department Doan Ngoc Hung Anh, on Tuesday, warmly received a group of visitors from the Lao National Book Publishing House.

At the reception for Lao guests, Mr. Doan Ngoc Hung Anh said that the Party, State and people of Viet Nam in general, and the Party, government and people of Da Nang in particular, always respected and nurtured the special traditional friendship between Viet Nam and Laos, as well as the effective friendship and cooperation between Da Nang and the south-central provinces of Laos.

He emphasised that Da Nang has currently signed 37 agreements and Memoranda of Understanding with seven Lao localities.

In particular, the cooperation programmes in education and agriculture with south-central provinces of Laos achieved many outstanding results. Every year, Da Nang enrolls and finances tuition and living expenses for about 100-120 Lao students studying in Da Nang.

Mr. Doan Ngoc Hung Anh said that in the coming time, Da Nang will implement a cooperation project with Lao localities, with a focus on building educational, agricultural, economic, trade, tourism and transportation infrastructure, and fully tapping the advantages of the East - West Economic Corridor.

At the same time, he expressed his joy at the fruitful cooperation between Viet Nam’s Su That (Truth) National Political Publishing House and the Lao National Book Publishing House.

For his part, Mr. Xaynhaphon Anulat, General Director cum Editor-in-Chief of the Lao National Book Publishing House, thanked the leader of Da Nang Party Committee's Publicity and Training Department for his enthusiastic welcome.

He also informed about cooperative activities between Viet Nam’s Su That (Truth) National Political Publishing House and the Lao National Book Publishing House during the 2018-2026 period.

Within the framework of their business trip to Viet Nam from June 3-7, the Lao guests are scheduled to visit the Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper Printing House based in Da Nang, and sign a minute of cooperation with the Su That (Truth) National Political Publishing House.
