Mr. Ngo Xuan Thang, Chairman of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang was appointed Chairman of the municipal People's Council in its 10^th tenure for the 2021-2026 term.

The appointment was officially announced on Monday morning at the 18^th session of the Da Nang People's Council in its 10^th tenure for the 2021-2026 term.

Speaking at the appointment ceremony, new Chairman of the municipal People's Council Ngo Xuan Thang vowed to work hard to complete all tasks assigned by the Party, government and people of Da Nang. He pledged to regularly grasp the actual situation at the grassroots level; respect and listen to the people's thoughts and aspirations; and wholeheartedly serve the people, thereby actively contributing to the city’s construction and development.

Also at the 18^th session on Monday, Vice Chairwoman of the People's Council Nguyen Thi Anh Thi was appointed Vice Chairwoman of the People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

The new Chairman of the municipal People’s Council Ngo Xuan Thang was born on April 30, 1969, and his hometown is Hoa Chau Commune, Hoa Vang District, Da Nang. He has university degree majoring in Foreign Trade Economics, and a Master degree of Development Economics.

Mr. Thang is former Chairman of the municipal Labor Confederation and former Secretary of Thanh Khe District’s Party Committee.

Born on October 31, 1976, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, hailing from Hoa Hai Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District, Da Nang, has professional qualifications: Doctor of Political Economy, and university degrees majoring in French and Business Administration.

She is former Secretary of the Ngu Hanh Son District Party Committee, and Chairwoman of the Ngu Hanh Son District People's Committee.

At the 9^th session of the Da Nang People's Council in its 10^th tenure for the 2021-2026 term in 2022, Mrs. Thi was elected Vice Chairwoman of the People's Council in its 10^th tenure for the 2021-2026 term.

Also at the meeting session, Mrs. Tran Thanh Thuy, Director of the municipal Department of Health, was elected to be a member of the municipal People's Committee.
