NVIDIA Corporation supports Da Nang in AI training

During his reception on Monday for a group of visitors from the US-based NVIDIA Corporation, Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Le Trung Chinh highly appreciated the group's interest and support in implementing the training programmes on artificial intelligence (AI) for the city.

At the meeting, the city and universities were committed to participating in NVIDIA Corporation-organised training programmes in the field of AI and semiconductors.

The city leader expressed his belief that with strong determination of the municipal government and universities, and the support and assistance of NVIDIA Corporation, Da Nang will effectively implement semiconductor-related activities.

For his part, Mr. Ettikan K.Karuppiah, Chief Technologist at NVIDIA Asia Pacific South Region, expressed his honour in coordinating and cooperating with the city in the AI development field.

He added that the purpose of the working visit was to concretise commitments to support the development of the AI ​​field in Viet Nam. The Group will continue to support Viet Nam in general and Da Nang in particular in this field.

During the meeting, the group discussed training programmes for lecturers and students; and the organization of a programme or a competition for Da Nang students.

Mr. Ettikan K.Karuppiah hoped that the Da Nang Semiconductor and Artificial Intelligence Center for Research and Training (DSAC) will organise training programmes to improve skills of local engineers, thereby meeting the increasing requirement of labour market in the AI ​​field.
