Authorized by the President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Secretary of the Party Committee and Governor of Sekong Province of Laos, Leklai Sivilay, awarded the Third-class Freedom (Issara) Order of Laos to Permanent Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Council Tran Phuoc Son at a ceremony held in the city on Tuesday.

At the ceremony, the Sekong provincial official announced the Lao President’s decision to grant the third-class Freedom Order to Mr. Son in recognition of his outstanding achievements in cooperation development assistance for Sekong Province during the 2017-2022 period.

Mr. Leklai Sivilay sincerely thanked the Party Committee, government and people of Da Nang for supporting his locality in many fields, thereby contributing to the local socio-economic development.

He also promised to do his utmost to further tighten the special, great friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Viet Nam and Laos, and between Da Nang and Sekong Province as well.

Vice Chairman Tran Phuoc Son expressed his honour to receive the noble reward, and thanked the Party Committees and governments of Laos and Sekong Province for acknowledging the contributions of the two localities in general and of him in particular.

At the same time, he affirmed that the Party Committee, government and people of Da Nang will continue to cultivate the special cooperative relationship with Sekong Province and Laos as a whole in the near future.
