Deputy Head of the National Assembly deputies' delegation of Da Nang Nguyen Duy Minh hosted the reception on Monday for Japanese Senator Eriko Imai and the Japanese wrestling team on the occasion of their attendance at the ongoing Viet Nam - Japan Festival 2024 in the city.

During the meeting with the Japanese guests, Deputy Head Nguyen Duy Minh informed that the National Assembly of Viet Nam has just passed a Resolution on organising urban government and piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies to develop Da Nang.

He affirmed that the Resolution facilitated Japanese businesses to seek investment opportunities in aspects that Da Nang is calling for investment such as semiconductor, artificial intelligence, information and communication, science and technology management, and innovation.

The municipal government was committed to creating a favourable investment environment for Japanese businesses when investing in Da Nang. At the same time, he asked for help from Ms. Eriko Imai to connect Da Nang with Japanese partners, businesses and localities; as well as intensify cultural exchange activities, thereby contributing to fostering the friendly relationship and people-to-people exchange between Viet Nam and Japan in the time ahead.

In reply, Ms. Eriko Imai expressed her impression and congratulated the success of the 9^th edition of the Viet Nam - Japan Festival in Da Nang offering a wide range of captivating cultural and artistic programmes.

She hoped that more art exchanges and cooperation programmes between the two countries will be organised in the coming time, boosting the bilateral relations.
