Da Nang strengthens cooperation with Japanese partners and localities

On Friday, Mr. Mori Takero, the newly-accredited Consul General of Japan in Da Nang, paid a courtesy visits to leaders of the People's Council and Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of the city on the occasion of his new working term.

During his reception for the Japanese diplomat, Chairman of the municipal People's Council Ngo Xuan Thang expressed his delight at the fine development of the relations between Da Nang and Japanese localities and businesses, and Consul General of Japan, for many years.

Mr. Thang wished that Mr. Mori Takero will act as a bridge to call on many Japanese investors to visit and seek investment opportunities in Da Nang in such fields as hi-tech, semiconductors, and artificial intelligence (AI).

Receiving Consul General Mori Takero on the same day, Chairman of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of the city Le Van Trung briefly introduced the apparatus, functions, tasks and roles of the city's Front committee.

He added that cooperation and people-to-people exchange activities between Da Nang and Japanese localities have been organised effectively and successfully over the past year, especially the recent 9th Viet Nam - Japan Festival in the central coastal city.

He hoped that the Japanese diplomat will continue to promote cultural and people-to-people exchange activities, as well as appeal for more Japanese businesses to invest in Da Nang.

For his part, Consul General Mori Takero pledged to do his utmost to promote exchange, investment and trade cooperation activities with Da Nang in particular, and provinces and cities in the central region in general, actively contributing to the development of good relations between Viet Nam and Japan in the coming time.
