According to the PAR Index analysis report published by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Da Nang ranked 12th among the 63 provinces and cities nationwide in the PAR Index ranking in 2023 with 87.68 points, an increase of 1.14 points but down 7 places compared to 2022.

Da Nang was placed 3rd after Hai Phong and Ha Noi among the 5 centrally governed cities, and first among 14 cities and provinces in the north-central and central coastal region, in PAR Index ranking in 2023.

Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Home Affairs Tran Trung Son said that the bright spot in the city's PAR Index in 2023 was that Da Nang's appraisal score ranked 5th, only 0.3 points lower than the leading unit, Quang Ninh Province. This showed that the city's administrative reform work was highly appreciated.

Meanwhile, the city ranked 22nd among the 63 provinces and cities, up 12 places compared to 2022 in SIPAS ranking.

According to Director of the municipal Department of Home Affairs Vo Ngoc Dong, to improve the city's PAR index in 2024 and the following years, the city needs to continue to implement a number of solutions such as highlighting the responsibilities of each agency, leaders and the team of officials, civil servants and public employees of the sector and locality in synchronously implementing the administrative reform tasks assigned by the city.

Besides, localities and units should pay attention to overcoming limitations to constantly improve scores and rankings of PAR Index and SIPAS, he added.

He also underlined the need for heads of agencies, units and localities to strictly observe administrative discipline and discipline; promptly handle responsibilities for violations (if any); improve the spirit and sense of responsibility of the staff in solving and coordinating work; and rectify and handle situations of overfilling, avoiding work, taking advantage of positions and powers to harass and cause trouble for organisations and individuals.

Mr. Vo Ngoc Dong requested localities, and departments and agencies at all levels, to continue to effectively uphold achieved results, accelerate administrative reform in fields related to people and businesses, boost digital transformation, and apply information technology and connected databases in management and administrative procedures. Efforts should be made to actively support and guide people and businesses to use online public services.
