Secretary Quang thanked Mr. Kang Kyung-sung for the warm welcome, and introduced him to the city's development goals and orientations.

Aside from tourism and services, the city has been concentrating on boosting the development of industries, especially hi-tech, semiconductors and artificial intelligence, he added.

He noted that Da Nang has been given permission from the National Assembly of Viet Nam to set up a pilot Free Trade Zone in the city. He, therefore, hoped that Mr. Kang Kyung-sung will share experiences with the city in developing free trade zones.

The city Party chief Quang also proposed that the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy introduce and support large-scale Korean enterprises to visit Da Nang to learn about and invest in the fields of hi-tech, supporting industry, and renewable energy.
