A group of visitors from Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, led by its Secretary Nguyen Hai Ninh, visited the Da Nang Intelligent Operation Centre (IOC) and the FPT Complex in Hoa Hai Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District, on Tuesday, to exchange experience in digital transformation.

At IOC, Secretary Nguyen Hai Ninh commented that this was a model that his province was interested in. He informed that the Khanh Hoa IOC is expected to come into operation in September 2024.

The project's goal is to build and form a software system and database to serve the centre's operations, thereby ensuring connection, integration, collection, standardisation; processing of information and data sources; and then providing accurate reports to serve the supervision, administration and decision-making of leaders at all levels in State management.

A spokesperson for Da Nang IOC informed that the centre was officially open on August 14, 2023 on the basis of reorganising the Da Nang Public Service Information Centre. This is the place to collect and synthesise urban information and data sources in all fields for analysis and display. Thanks to this, the centre helps leaders at all levels have the ability to monitor, operate, make decisions and manage the quality of services provided by the city overall through digital data from applications and systems of agencies, units, and communities.

The IOC will detect and early warn of unusual problems and events related to urban activities, as well as provide information to the authorities for handling.

For local residents, they benefit from smart urban services, and notably with the app Danang Smart City. Also, they stay up to date with traffic, weather and environment warnings, among other emergencies.

During his visit to the FPT Complex, Mr. Ninh said that Da Nang has been very successful in digital transformation, including significant contributions from FPT Group.

In September 2023, FPT Group leaders worked with Khanh Hoa leaders on digital transformation cooperation. Previously, FPT Group had coordinated with departments and branches of the province to implement a number of activities such as building a common data warehouse and a digital connection application with VNeID software, and updating key tasks on the local socio-economic situation and ongoing resolutions in the province to the smart data warehouse.

Mr. Minh took the opportunity to ask the FPT Group to accelerate the investment in the province's Nha Trang City, thereby developing the information technology industry and creating favourable conditions to attract other technology businesses.

For his part, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Phuong, Chairman of FPT Software Da Nang Company Limited, informed that, since 2005, FPT Da Nang has reached a 20% growth in software exports on average. Every year, it contributes a fifth to the city’s information technology revenue. FPT and its member units contribute over VND 500 billion to the city's budget per year.

FPT Complex is the first centralised information technology park invested with enterprise capital in Da Nang, recognised by the Prime Minister in March 2023.

FPT Complex contributes 69% of Da Nang's total software export turnover and makes an important contribution to attracting high-quality human resources.

FPT continues to lead technology trends, helping Da Nang realise its development strategy. As of June 2024, a total of 15,620 students had been trained at the FPT Education organisation in Da Nang.

The FPT Group is ready to cooperate with provinces and cities, including Da Nang and Khanh Hoa, to research and develop new technologies such as artificial intelligence, Gen AI, and Cloud.
