The “Meet Thailand 2024” slated to be held in Da Nang from September 26 to 28 will be a good opportunity for Vietnamese and Thai businesses and localities to introduce their typical products, and promote trade connection, thereby contributing to intensifying economic, trade, investment, cultural and tourism cooperation between the two sides.

Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee Tran Chi Cuong made the remarks while receiving Ms. Wiraka Moodhitaporn, the Consul General of Thailand in HCM City, on Friday.

The host suggested the Thai Consulate General organise more exchange activities between Thail and Vietnamese art troupes to create attraction for this event.

The municipal government was committed to creating the best conditions for related units to organise the forthcoming event successfully, he affirmed.

For her part, the Thai diplomat informed that the “Meet Thailand 2024” was garnering interest of businesses in Thailand, and Thai businesses doing business in Viet Nam. Also, these firms wanted to learn about investment opportunities at the Lien Chieu Port, the Da Nang High-Tech Park and local industrial parks.

Ms. Wiraka Moodhitaporn asked for active support from the city government to ensure the success of the upcoming event.
