On Wednesday, in Da Nang, the municipal Youth Union organised an exchange of experience and signed a memorandum of cooperation in Youth Union operations and movements with the Salavan Provincial Youth Union (Laos) for the 2024 - 2029 period.

According to the report, since 2017, the Da Nang Youth Union has organised 3 international volunteer campaigns in Salavan Province, the latest in July 2023 with activities such as free medical checkups and medicine distribution for 2,000 people; presenting gifts to 200 people in Saravan District; presenting gifts to 40 children in Thong Kham and Ban Pho villages in Saravan District; donating one projector to Salavan Provincial Youth Union; participating in cultural, artistic, physical and sports exchange activities between youths of the two units.

According to the memorandum of cooperation for the 2024 - 2029 period, the two above-mentioned units will continue to promote publicity and education for the young generation about the special traditional friendly relationship between Viet Nam and Laos as a whole and between Da Nang and Salavan Province in particular.

The Da Nang Youth Union has maintained international volunteer activities in Salavan Province, created conditions for Youth Union facilities to organise Vietnamese language classes for Lao officials and Lao language classes for Vietnamese officials.

This agency has coordinated with its Salavan counterpart to organise cultural, artistic, physical training and sports activities to enhance solidarity and closeness between the two agencies.
