Da Nang delegation works with Malaysia - Viet Nam Friendship Association
During their business trip to Malaysia, a group of Da Nang’s officials, led by Vice Chairwoman of the municipal People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, had a working session with the Malaysia - Viet Nam Friendship Association on Tuesday.

Expressing her pleasure at welcoming the Da Nang delegation, President of the Malaysia - Viet Nam Friendship Association Tran Thi Chang hoped that the city will strengthen cooperation with Malaysian partners in such spheres as trade, tourism, seaport, and cultural and sports exchanges. She asked the city to inform Malaysian enterprises about its special policies and mechanisms, and its plans for developing the Free Trade Zone and the Lien Chieu Port projects.
In reply, Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Anh Thi thanked leaders of the Malaysia - Viet Nam Friendship Association for their warm welcome.
She also took the opportunity to ask for support from the Association in promoting the image of Da Nang to the Malaysian government and people, as well as providing cooperation and investment opportunities in trade, tourism, culture, and sports in Da Nang to businesses and partners in Malaysia.
She, at the same time, requested the Association to foster cultural and people-to-people diplomacy exchange activities in a bid to enhance understanding between Da Nang and Malaysian people.

On the occasion, Mrs. Thi invited the leaders of the Malaysia - Viet Nam Friendship Association to attend the Viet Nam - ASEAN Festival 2025 scheduled to be held in Da Nang to mark 30 years of Viet Nam's official membership in ASEAN.
Currently, the Malaysia - Viet Nam Friendship Association has about 200 members who are Vietnamese and Malaysian, with a team of advisors including many great Malaysian intellectuals.
In recent times, the Association has organised many major events for Vietnamese people in Malaysia such as Community Tet, Hung King's Commemoration Day, International Women's Day March 8, Mid-Autumn Festival, Vietnamese Women's Day, contributing to promoting Vietnamese culture, tourism and cuisine as well as actively supporting the Vietnamese community in Malaysia.
