Lao Consul General in Da Nang Souphanh Hadaoheuang, on Thursday, offered congratulations on the 79^th National Day of Vietnam (September 2) to the municipal Party Committee.

The Lao guest expressed his joy at the rapid growth of Viet Nam in general and Da Nang in particular, wishing the city to achieve many positive socio-economic results in the time ahead.

He believed that, in the coming time, Da Nang will continue to develop further and successfully implementing the Resolutions of the 13^th National Party Congress and the 22^nd municipal Party Congress.

On behalf of the Party Committee, government and people of Da Nang, municipal Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang thanked Consul General Souphanh Hadaoheuang and the staff of the Lao Consulate General in the city for their special affection for the city.

He also highly appreciated the role of Mr. Souphanh Hadaoheuang in contributing to deepening the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Viet Nam and Laos over recent years.

Secretary Quang voiced his hope that Da Nang will receive much attention and support from Mr. Souphanh Hadaoheuang and the Lao Consulate General in the city in coordinating and connecting the East-West Economic Corridor, and boosting the economic development between the two sides.

Also on the same day, Lao Consul General in Da Nang Souphanh Hadaoheuang paid a visit to the Union of Friendship Organisations of the city.

During his reception for the Laotian diplomat, Chairman of the Da Nang Union of Friendship Organisations Nguyen Ngoc Binh expressed his joy at the visit made by Mr. Souphanh Hadaoheuang on the special occasion of the country.

He said that the Union will continue accompanying and coordinating with the Lao Consulate General in Da Nang to organise peace, solidarity and friendship activities in the coming time. He affirmed that the activities will greatly contribute to further developing the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Viet Nam and Laos in general, and between Da Nang and Lao localities in particular.
