He also requested leaders of the steering committees of provinces and cities to continue to improve the quality and effectiveness of information work for foreign service in the new situation; as well as raise awareness among cadres, party members and people about the importance of the work and Viet Nam's achievements in human rights.

Special attention should be on strengthening coordination, innovating content, diversifying methods of information work for foreign service; stepping up the struggle against hostile forces' wrongful arguments; increasing resources; and improving material conditions and capacity of staff working in foreign information and human rights, Mr. Lai Xuan Mon noted.
Speaking at the conference, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Vinh briefed the participants on basic issues on the city’s information work for foreign service, human rights, and socio-economic development achievements in recent years.

He also informed that in its human rights policies, the city laid an emphasis on caring for the disadvantaged. In particular, the city has specific policies on exempting all tuition fees for pupils at preschool, and junior and senior high school levels in the city; and arranging accommodation for poor, single women, and social policy families in difficult circumstances.
Most recently, the city has supported 1,800 poor and near-poor households with a cost of VND2 million/household to buy smartphones, aimed at helping the poor citywide access technology and applications in daily life.
