The Da Nang Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism has been given permission by local authorities to set up 2 pilot areas for people who want to take part in water sports activities at local beaches.  The areas will be established on the beach opposite the intersections of Vo Van Kiet and Hoang Sa streets, and of Nguyen Van Thoai and Hoang Sa streets.

The city is now home to 17 planned beaches which stretch along Hoang Sa, Truong Sa and Nguyen Tat Thanh streets.  There are separated bathing and sporting areas on the beaches, and this make them ideal places for sports lovers.

According to the Management Board of the Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourism Beaches, the local beaches have welcomed thousands of bathers during the recent hot weather.

The beaches are expected to receive over 50,000 locals and visitors each day throughout the “Da Nang - Summer Rendezvous” programme, which will be held in early June.
