Certificates awarded to local resorts' lifeguards
On Saturday, a number of lifeguards from holiday resorts in Da Nang and Hoi An received certificates for their participation in a recent rescue training course. The event was co-organised by the Furama Resort Da Nang and the Danang Beach Surf Life Saving Club.
Ms Stephanie McGuinness from Surf Life Saving Australia, the trainer for the course, stressed the need for the city to maintain this kind of training on an annual basis because it will help local lifeguards to improve their professional skills. In addition, she added, the participants would have the chance to share their rescue experiences.
In addition to this training course, the Furama Resort is also offering free self-rescue swimming classes for children who are vacationing with their parents at the hotel.
