Foreign currency seized for not having relevant documentation

Customs officers at Da Nang International Airport found and seized 79,000 HKD, equal to 10,175.30 USD, on Monday because there were no customs declaration papers or other relevant documents.
The seized foreign currency belonged to 38-year-old Daihui Yan, a Chinese passenger on flight C26090 from Da Nang to Shenzhen, China.
On 6 June, local customs officers had also confiscated 210,000 HKD, equivalent to 27,048.26 USD while they were handling exit procedures for a Chinese passenger who was going to illegally transport the foreign currency from Viet Nam to Macau.
