As part of its cooperation programme with the Asian Injury Prevention Foundation (AIPF),  the Da Nang Maternity and Paediatrics Hospital will provide free medical examinations between 24 and 26 June for children from across the central region who have congenital or accidental genital malformities. 

Dr Roberto De Castro from Italy will conduct the medical examinations and advise on treatment.  He has carried out a lot of research into genital organ regeneration surgery for children with genital deformities.

In addition, the Italian doctor will perform surgery on 6 other children with genital defects who had their medical examinations last November at the city’s Maternity and Paediatrics Hospital.

Anyone living in the central region who has a child with a genital defect can register for the free medical examinations at the Paediatric Surgery Department of the Da Nang Maternity and Paediatrics Hospital, which is located at 402 Le Van Hien Street in Ngu Hanh Son District.  They can also contact Dr Tran Van Trong via 0914240016 or ring Ms Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc on 0905194380.
