Free plastic surgery for children 6 and under
Between 24 June and 6 July, the Da Nang Fortis Hoan My Hospital and Japan’s Osaka University Hospital will offer surgery for children with scars on their faces, ear defects, or cleft lips and palates in Da Nang.
Children 6 years old and under will have their surgery free, but they will bear the costs of medical examinations, treatment, medicines, and hospital beds. Those children over 6 will be partly exempt from the hospital fees, although the extent of exemption will depend on the particular circumstances of each case.
The Head of the Faculty of Aesthetics and Plastic Surgery of the Japanese Seisaika Nakatsu Hospital, and former president and founding member of the Osaka Plastic Surgery Association, Prof Dr Hiramoto Michiaki will be the lead surgeon.
