A ceremony to appeal for donations for Thank Khe District’s Fund for the Poor took place last Friday.  The event was co-organised by the district’s authorities and the local Fatherland Front Committee.

At the event, 798 million VND was raised from local agencies, businesses and individuals which has helped to bring the total raised so far this year to over 2 billion VND .

The district aims to lift 700 of the 2,601 poorest households above the city’s new poverty thresholds by the end of this year.
