The Municipal Press Awards 2012 ceremony will take place at the Da Nang Radio and Television Station (DRT) at 7.30pm tonight, 20 June, and it will be broadcast live on DRT channels.

There were 110 local entrants with 89 examples of their work from several different genres, including print, online and television.  At this evening’s event, 2 first, 4 second, 12 third and 7 commendation prizes will be awarded.  We are proud to announce that 1 first, 1 second and 4 third prizes will go Da Nang Newspaper reporters.

According to the assessment by the contest’s organising board, most of the entries met the required criteria, in that they reflected the city’s progress and rapid growth, as well as local guidelines and policies over the last year.
