Under its “Pilot Solutions to Solve Traffic Congestion in Some of Da Nang’s Streets” project, the city’s Department of Transport and other relevant agencies have identified 10 hotspots where traffic congestion usually occurs during rush hours, and have proposed measures to deal with the problems.

These hotspots are: the intersections of Nguyen Van Linh and Nguyen Tri Phuong streets, of Hai Phong and Dien Bien Phu streets, of Hung Vuong and Hoang Hoa Tham streets, of Hung Vuong and Trieu Nu Vuong streets, of Le Duan and Nguyen Chi Thanh streets, of Hoang Dieu and Trung Nu Vuong streets, and of Tran Cao Van Street and a section of the national North-South rail route.  Also the roundabout of Dong Da, Ong Ich Khiem, Tran Cao Van and Quang Trung streets, the Hue T-junction, and the western end of the Han River Bridge.

The Department will wait for approval from the local authorities before implementing its proposed solutions which should ease traffic congestion in the city.
