844.689 billion VND for upgrading rural areas
According to the Da Nang Steering Committee for upgrading the city’s rural areas, 844.689 billion VND has been spent on upgrading Hoa Vang District’s rural areas during the 2011 - 2013 period. Of this, 184.527 billion VND was granted from the national target programmes’ funding, 428.867 billion VND came from the budgets of the city, the Hoa Vang District and its communes, 174.117 billion VND was contributed by local residents, and 57.145 billion VND came from other sources.
Of the money raised, 631.082 billion VND went to rural infrastructure upgrading, 137.864 billion VND to production development, 61.773 billion VND to cultural and environmental projects, 3.008 billion VND to political system building and social welfare programmes, and 13.250 billion VND to activities such as planning and publicity.
The past 3 years have seen an increasing number of construction works across Hoa Vang District. They include 70 transport schemes, 30 irrigation systems, 26 schools, 66 cultural houses and sporting areas, 14 lighting systems, 11 clean water supply systems, and 3 rural markets.
