Between January and June, the Da Nang market management forces have imposed fines totalling around 6.8 billion VND on 2,393 of the 2,715 cases they have investigated.

Over the period, focuses were on checking and controlling the quality of medicines, milk, motorbike helmets, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) operations, as well as trade activities relating to foreign currency and gold exchanges.  Special attention was also paid to inspecting food safety and hygiene at local hotels and food and drink areas.

Also, local relevant agencies have made every effort to increase checks and tighten the inspection of local businesses in the fight against smuggling, trade fraud, and the sale of counterfeit, faked, or poor quality and unknown-origin products.  In addition, local providers of essential goods and services for tourists have been required to display the prices of their products and services during public holidays and festivals.
