The Vietnam Brewery Limited (VBL) recently spent 400 million VND to install a piped clean water system linking the Cau Do Water Supply Plant to Phu Hoa 1 Village, Hoa Nhon Commune, Hoa Vang District.  In addition, VBL’s 120 employees and volunteers have been actively involved in cleaning up the environment along the Tuy Loan River.

These activities are part of VBL’s "1 Minute Less for 1 Million Smiles" environmental programme which is being implemented nationwide.

Apart from the above activities, the company is running the “For Water Resources Security” programme over the 2012 - 2017 period which grants scholarships totalling 7.5 billion VND to young talents.  Under the programme, university students who are studying in faculties of environmental sciences or economics, along with young scientists who are researching into environmental issues, will receive scholarships annually.
