Under the Viet Nam-Japan Cooperation Agreement signed in October 2011, the Department of Overseas Labour (DOLAB) of the Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs will send 180 Vietnamese nurses and orderlies, aged 35 years and younger, to work in Japan.  They will receive a monthly salary of between 28 and 33 million VND.

Nurse candidates are required to have practice certificates in accordance with Viet Nam’s Law on Medical Examination and Treatment.  In addition, they must have at least 2 years’ experience as nurses.

As for orderlies, they are required to have graduated from a 3-year course at a college or a 4-year course at a university.

Before going to Japan, they will take a free 12-month Japanese language course in Viet Nam, which is expected to start later this year.  After the course, they must take a Japanese language examination at the N3 level, held every July and December, and those who pass the exam will be introduced to hospitals and healthcare centres in Japan.

Application forms should be sent to DOLAB from 1 - 30 September.
