On Tuesday, the Da Nang People's Committee Vice Chairman, Mr Nguyen Ngoc Tuan, made an inspection visit to the Hoa Cam Industrial Park and the Seafood Service Zone.  The city leader urged the Quoc Viet Environmental Science and Technology Company to do its utmost to ensure that the dedicated waste water treatment plant at the Hoa Cam Industrial Park is put into operation in August.

The Da Nang Industrial Parks Authority, along with the local Department of Natural Resources and the Environment, were also asked to work closely with local relevant agencies to increase checks and tighten monitoring of the water waste treatment performance at local industrial parks.

Top priority will be given to creating even more favourable conditions for local businesses located at the Seafood Service Zone to build their own waste water treatment plants to reduce capacity overload at the Tho Quang plant.

Local relevant agencies were also required to timely detect and deal with any violations of the city’s environmental regulations.  Special attention should paid to checking and monitoring that input and discharged waters of local industrial businesses meet the city’s standards.  The city leader added that strict punishments will be imposed on violators, and their operations would be suspended in cases of multiple offences.
